Excerpt from OBITUARY in a Farmington, NM newspaper; Oct. 1927.
Peter M. Parsons was born at Brighton, Sussex county, England on Feb. 2, 1841. Died at his home in Farmington, NM on Oct. 9, 1927; age 86 years, 8 months, 8 days, on his 50th wedding anniversary.
He came to the U. S. at the age of 10 with his parents. In 1877, at the age of 36 years, he was married to Mrs. Alcena Draper of Burden, Kansas, to who four children were born: Frank, Effie, Isa, and Lula.
Mr. Parsons was a man of splendid principles and lived a clean, upright life, honest and straight-forward in his dealings with his fellow man; a kindly and sympathetic neighbor and worthy to be called friend.
Remains laid to rest in Greenlawn cemetery.
