Patrick is an English patronymic name, from the given name derived from Latin Patricius = son of a noble father, member of the patrician class or aristocracy. Served as a Second and First Lieutenant in Company H, 11th Texas Cavalry during the Civial War. He enlisted at Hunt Co. TX on 1/31/1862 and served until 1/30/1865. His First wife, Mary, died while he was away at war. After he came home, he married her sister, Rosella P. Mabry.

Judge E. K. Patrick Dead
Died at his home in Campbell, Hunt County, Sunday, October 6th, 1907, Judge E.K. Patrick aged 76 years.

Deceased was the father of Mrs. L. A. Jones, living East of Alba, a brother of J. W. Patrick living near Golden and Jim Patrick of Winnsboro. Nine children survive and all live in different portions of the state, Mrs. Jones being the only one living in this county. Mr. & Mrs. Jones, accompanied by their daughter, Mrs. S. J. Benton, attended the funeral Monday returning Tuesday evening. The News extends condolences to the bereft ones.


Note:
Tombstone must be misplaced - found tombstone of Joe Kelly Patrick, son of Albert Patrick. Looks like several gravesites but no stones just beyond the large pecan tree in the cemetery. The cemetery was well kept and was out-lined in enormous trees. The Prairie Valley cemetery (originally named Sodom Cemetery) is located off 513 between Hwy 67 and Lone Oak, Texas.
