On June 27, 1899, Goldie Edith Schnelle was born to John Thomas Schnelle and his second wife, Annie Maria Mahoney Hamilton Schnelle at Green City Missouri.
Goldie was the first of two children born to them, the second being Sarah Annie, born Nov. 17, 1901.
John's first wife, Emma Snider, had previously died after giving him four children: Emma Allura, born July 25, 1881; then on August 3, 1885 twin sons Hiram Julius and Aaron Frederick were born. On Nov. 5, 1888, Ernest Perry was born.
On Nov. 7, 1895, wife Emma died and John Thomas then married Annie on Nov. 11, 1897.
During Goldie's childhood they lived in Green City, Mo., Sharon, Ks., Americas, Ks.,(near Emporia, Ks.), Canyon, Texas, and Ponce De Leon, Mo.
During her time at Ponce Goldie met her future husband, Reese Carl Peery, known to everyone as Carl. They married in 1916 and Their first child, Melba Waneeta was born at Ponce in 1917.
In 1919 Carl LaVerne was born in Nebraska. On Oct. 10, 1921, Lloyd DeVere was born in Edgar, Nebraska. Within the next few years Anna Frances and Wilma Mae were also born in Nebraska.
In th 1930's the family moved back to Missouri and lived in several places around the Springfield area.
They finally settled in for the last time at their longtime home in Marionville, Missouri.
Carl died in Sept. of 1965 at Aurora, Mo., hospital and is buried at the Marionville cemetery.
Goldie died in Aug. of 1990 at the age of 91 and is buried with Carl at Marionville cemetery.
