Teresa Lee Higgins Murphy is the granddaughter of Reece Carl Peery and Goldie Edith Schnelle Peery and therefore is a
descendant of both the Peery and Schnelle Lines, as well as the
Higgins line.
Her parents were Lloyd Lee Higgins and Wilma Mae Peery.
Her father worked for the Railroad in Springfield, Missouri,
and the family lived in Marionville, Missouri, just a short
distance from her grandparents, Reece Carl and Goldie Peery.
Teresa and her husband Duane Murphy have lived in Aurora, Missouri for many years and Duane works for the Railroad in
Springfield, and Teresa is a School Teacher in the Aurora
Public School System. Together they also raise race horses.
They have three children, Kelly, Kristi, and Lindsey, and four
grandchildren.
Teresa was born on April 30, 1951, and on June 20, 1969,
married Richard Duane Murphy, who was born on June 30, 1949.
Their children are: Kelley Lea Murphy Carr, born on Jan. 16,
1970, who married Jeffrey David Carr on
May 1, 1993. Jeffrey Carr was born on
July 1, 1968.
They have two children, Jansen David, born
on Oct. 11, 1997; and Gavin Blake born on
Mar.14, 2000.
Kristi Michele Murphy Shoemaker, born Sept.
10, 1973, who married Samuel Derek Shoemaker
on June 27, 1992. Samuel Derek was born on
May 19, 1971.
They have two children, Sydney Brooke born on
Mar. 19, 1995; and Luke Evan born on April
27, 1999.
Lindsey Erin Murphy, born on Feb. 1, 1983.
