On Jan. 14, 1787 Johann Conrod Schnelle was born in the village of Buckleburg, Kingdom of Hannover, Germany.
On Jan. 10, 1803, his future wife, Hanne Sophie Christiane Brakmann (Christeana), was born in the village of Lauenforde, Kingdom of Hannover, Germany.
In 1822 Conrod became a resident of Lauenforde and on May 5, 1822 he and Christeana were married there.
His occupation was as a Master Shoemaker.
On Aug. 5, 1825, Mairie Louise (Louisa) was born in Lauenforde.
On Jan. 14, 1828, Aaron Frederick was born in Lauenforde.
On Aug. 25, 1830 Ernistine Louise Melousine (Melissa), was born.
On April 7, 1834, Adaline Josi Flinn Fridfresha was born in Lauenforde.
In the late summer of 1834 the family immigrated from Germany to the United States.
The boat trip over was terrifying and to his last days young Aaron Frederick would have tears in his eyes when talking of the trip. A storm at sea broke the mast and the ship drifted back to shore about 200 miles from where they started. It appears that they then transfered to another ship to continue the trip to the United States.
Their first known residence was in Wheeling W. Va., then on to Marietta, Ohio. Conrod continued his Shoemaking practice during this time.
On Feb. 6, 1836, Theodore was born in Wheeling W.Va., but his birth record shows him as Friedrich Gustav.
On Jan. 14, 1843, Wilhelm Heinrich (William Henry), was born near Stafford, Ohio.
On Nov. 26, 1846, John Conrad was born on the same farm near Stafford, Ohio.
On Oct. 19, 1854, William Henry died at age 11 yrs, 9 mos, 5 days.
In 1864 the family moved to Sullivan County, Missouri.
On Mar. 25, 1869 Conrod died at age 82, and was buried in the old Pollock Cemetery.
On Mar. 4, 1873, Christeana died and was buried beside Conrod.
