Ronald Jerome Peery was born Jan. 2, 1956, in Hackensack, New Jersey, the second son of FBI Agent Lloyd DeVere Peery and his wife Dorothy Marie Etherson Peery.
Ron and his family moved several times during his childhood due
to Lloyd's job as an FBI Agent, and finally settled in the
Okla. City, Okla., area.
On graduating high school, Ron entered Okla. Christian College
in Edmond, Okla., and later transfered to then Central State
University, but now known as The University of Central Okla.
Ron graduated with a degree in History/Military Science, and
was granted a commission as a 2Lt, in the regular United States
During his college years Ron was employed for two years with
the Edmond, Okla., Police Dept., and following that, two more years with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
His army career caused numerous moves again, and he finally
settled in Manhattan, Ks.
During his last duty station at Fort Riley, Ks., Ron was sent
overseas in 1990 to the Gulf war and served in Operations Desert
Shield and Desert Storm.
After Desert Storm, Ron took an early retirement from the army
during the much publicized "Reduction in Forces" policy of the

local Manhattan Kansas construction company and has remained
As a result of a desire to return to army life, Ron sought and
received a commission as a Captain in the Kansas National
Guard and has recently been promoted to the rank of Major.
Ron has one son, Patrick John Lloyd Peery, living in Utah and he himself continues to reside in Manhattan, Kansas.
