I have been researching my ancestral line for eight years now.
It started with information my father, George Russell HORNER gathered for his cousin, William CUNNINGHAM. William Cunningham finally printed a book, entitled, "The Hugh ST. CLAIR Family".

Hugh St. Clair, his wife Rebecca, and four of his sons, came to the United States from Ireland. One of these sons was named James. James St. Clair married Penelope DAVIS GEER. Their daughter, Julia Ann, married Jackson J. HORNER, my ggrandfather.

Then I started to research the HORNER connections. It led me to Johann Hanaur, b. 1721, who it is believed was born in Switzerland. The HORNERs settled in Johnstown and were very prominent there.

Also on my father's side, I have been researching the names
STEWART, MILLER, and many more.

On my mother's side, I have been researching the names WEST,
HENDERSON, DOVEY and many more.
