About Our Family Research
I have lived in New Brunswick all of my life. My mother is from Bathurst N.B. And my father, from Bridgewater Nova Scotia. Both of my grandfathers were in the Canadian Army. My paternal grandmother was from Manchester, England. During the WW2 she married my grandfather and after the war,my grandparents and my father, who was born in Manchester England, sailed back to Canada and settled in Bridgewater Nova Scotia. My maternal grandparents are both from Bathurst, N.B. They were married on Rememberance Day before WW2. My grandfather was shipped over to England for WW2. Shortly after he came back my mother was concieved. Both of my grandfathers were in the army their whole life. Both of my grandfather's were posted at Base Gagetown which is how my parents met and eventually married, settled in Fredericton, N.B. and raised four boys.
