I have compiled my genealogy back to many ancestors on the Mayflower, including John and Priscilla Alden. My Penniman ancestry back to the Pennymans in England and the Penniman decendents of James Penniman 1, (who arrived in Boston in 1632 on the ship Lyon) are a part of my file "Penniman and other ancestors". The file contains the Penniman, Howland, Blake, Sturtevant and Bonney ancestors that lived in this country, it contains over 1044 individuals.
I've organized several Penniman reunions during the 1960's an 70's. They were held in Braintree, Mass., (where the Penniman family records are stored by the Braintree Historical Society) and at Eastham, Mass., at the Captain Penniman House, (A historic site of that whaling captain, now a part of the U.S. Dept of Parks.). I put together a booklet about the Reunions and mailed them to the 480 descendants of James Penniman 1. Each generation of Pennimans adds a didget to James 1, number, thus I am 10 generations from him, the 2nd child of the second child.
