My Great-Great-Grandfather Josef Motkowsky and his wife Maria (Wolanski) came from Poland in May.1903.The Port of Arrival was Halifax,Nova Scotia. They settled at Bruce,Alberta,Canada.
My Great-Grandfather Paval Pawluk came to Canada April.17.1911 on board the "Volturno", Port of Arrival: Halifax,Nova Scotia, he also settled in a polish area ( Bruce,Alberta,Canada) where he met and married Katherine Motkowsky. I know about the life here in Canada, but I am searching for answers in regards to the live they led prior to coming to Canada.
