From a letter written by Gary N. Woodle 1in 1980 (1593 NE Ridge
Ave.,Roseburg, OR 97470: 'Rachael, Martha's mother, was married three
times, twice to Woodles andonce to Albert Cooke. Rachael left Minnesota
with the Dauchey family forOregon Probably between 1863 and 1873. The
reason that she moved withthe Dauchey family was because her daughter,
Martha, had married aDauchey in Minnesota and she was an older lady with
a young son whoneeded the protection provided by a family in the Oregon
country.'[FINAL COMBINED.GED]
