I am researching Petty, Steedley, Jones & Johnson in GA. The Lewis's of NC and SC. Have much info on Lewis's of Horry Co SC dating back to early 1700s. Would like any info on Petty's before 1850 in GA, maybe FL. Have Stephen Petty m. to Delilah Cox 1871. Much info on Cox, but nothing on Stephen Petty before then. Any info would be appreciated. Also Jones. My maternal grandparents were James Elijah Jones & Zylphia Henrietta Johnson Jones. Her mother was Courtney Jones Johnson, b. 4-22-1839, Appling Co., GA. d. 2-8-1932, buried in Bethel Freewill Baptist Ch Cem near Waycross, GA. So many Jones and Johnsons, can't seem to separate. Would appreciate any info and also willing to share what I have.
