Searching Gahn and related families:
May or Maertz, Baer or Bear, Deihl and Quackenbush all living in New York City and Morrisania, NY beginning in the 1850s.

Carl & Minna Gahn arrive in NY on the ship Hansa in 1862.

Jacob & Philomena (Deihl) Baer arrive about 1853? How? Daughter Magdalena 'Lena' married Henry L. Quackenbush about 1868. Lena and Henry are my g-g-grandparents.
