Teague Harriganwas born in Ireland Co. Cork. He married Mary Wade, daughter of George Wade and Mary English.

Teague Harrigan was convicted at Bristol 5/10/1789. Arrived NSW 21/8/1791 onboard "Salamander".
Transferred to Norfolk Island 11/11/1791. Original Ticket of Leave lost. Re-issued by Governor king 12/9/1812.

The was a free man working for himself when his son Edward was born in 1804. Work at that time was, apparently, scarce and in 1806 Teague joined a whaling and sealing expedition on board the "Brigantine Fox" and that was the last heard of him.

Mary was left with baby Edward and two other small children Sarah and William who had been born on Norfolk Island.

NOTE. There is no record of Mary marrying Teague Harrigan
