My name is Diana Pickett. My father is Richard Allen Pickett (FL). His father was Robert Barrett Pickett (OH). His father was Allen Ross Pickett (OH) and his father was Gershom Selah Pickett (Ohio). His father was Freeman Pickett (NY and died in OH). The women in their families were: Richard Allen + Carolyn Sigman (GA) Robert Barrett + Doris Virginia Flower (PA), Allen Ross + Alice Mugg (OH),
Gershom Selah and wife #2 Phoebe Wilson and Maria Hull (or Hill) married to Freeman Pickett.
I can't find Freeman Pickett's parents. He was born in 1804-6 in New York and died in 1874 in OH. Maria was born in 1813 in Erie, PA and died in 1881 in OH.
I have gone back , through the Mugg side to 1478 with the following surnames: Fiske, Lincoln, Parkhurst, Granville, Wilson, Russell, Fiske, Gold, Gould, Blodgett, Cooper, Cook, Cooke, Smith, Smythe, Lucas,Morey, McMillan, Norton, Reade/Reed, Wheeler, Wilson, etc.
On the Sigman side, I can't find the parents of my grandfather, George Edward Sigman born in 1899 in GA. His parents were: Henry Clay Sigman and Bertie Lyon....My mother, Carolyn Sigman, born Sept 6, 1926 in Pehlam, Georgia had one full brother, George Edward Sigman, Jr. born ca. 1928, with Mary Ann Jones, born 1902 (GA) and a half sister named Katherine Sigman Simpson born in 1920 in Sal Lake City, UT by George's 1st wife Katherine Annie Solomon. Mary Ann Jone's father was Green Jones and her mother's name was Fannie Bell Johnson....can't find a thing.
