He immigrated to Hawaiian Kingdom (Sandwich Isles)on 27 March 1882 on the "Earl of Dalhousie" as a single man. In October 10, 1886, he married Maria Augusta Rodrigues, daughter of Rosa De Conciecao & Joao Jacinto Rodrigues of Matriz Vila Franca do Campo, San Miguel, Azores; in Hana, Maui Isle, Hawaiian Kingdom (Sandwich Isles). He was a blacksmith by trade for Hana Sugar Plantation. He had 5 live births in Hana, Maui. He moved from Hana in Apr 1897 to go to Rhode Island, USA, However the cold weather there drove him to return to Hawaiian Isles. In abt. 1898, As A Blacksmith, he worked for the Waianae Sugar Co. Honolulu County, Hawaii. He had another 12 births in Waianae & 1 child in Kalihi, Honolulu County, Hawaii.
