My research has been based mainly on information found in a small notebook that was in my late mother's possesions. Starting with my Great Grandfather's Memorium card which was tucked between the pages I was thrilled to find names and dates of my grandfather along with all his children. While in Yorkshire a few years ago I was able to find the home where my great grandfather Thomas Brown (the father of Annie Louisa Brown), my Father's Mother lived. I hope to continue researching the Pickard line as well delving into the Brown side of the family. As I am very new to this I realize I have much to learn and w elcome any help in continuing my research. Since writing the above I have been able to add considerably to my research. The 1881 census lists my Great Grandfather JOHN PICKARD living in Baildon York. along with his wife HANNAH PICKARD (maiden name unknown) aand JEREMIAH PICKARD a cabinet maker age 19 and WILLIAM PICKARD age 9 and PERCY PICKARD age 4. I wrongly assumed that JEREMIAH was the son of HANNAH. But have resceived a copy of JEREMIAH'S birth certificate which states that he was born on June 16, 1861 the son of JOHN PICKARD and ELLEN PICKARD formerly PEMBERTON. At that time namely 1861 they were living in INGROW MILL, KEIGHLEY. SO I AM MAKING PROGRESS!!
