This represents the Picous from Los Angeles. My name is Thomas Picou, the son on Thomas Morris Picou of New Orleans, LA. and Inez Elizabeth Hart of St. Charles, LA. They had two children, Thomas (myself) and an older sister (Judith). Thomas Morris Picou's Father was Thomas Picou, who was married at least eight times. My sister and I never know our grandmother. The Picous were also related to Parone Lewis Raggett and Leona Raggett, of LA. My father's sister, Myrtle Picou, was married to John H.H. Sengstacke, the nephew of Robert Sengstacke Abbott, the founder and publisher of the Chicago Defender. I followed in the footsteps of John H.H. Sengstacke (publisher of the Chicago Defender following Abbott's death) who died in 1997. I purchased my uncle John's newspapers (five in all including the Chicago Defender) and now serve as the company's Chairman, C.E.O. My sister, Judith still lives in Los Angeles, and and is a retired school teacher. She was married to Duquene Dickey, and had two children, Collin and Heather, both still living in Los Angeles. I was married to the late Cynthia Cole, daughter of the late Dr. T.J. Cole of Chicago, and had one daughter, Tracey Inez Picou, who is currently living in Littl;e Rock, Arkansas.
