The Pierce family I belong to goes back to my gggGrandather William Arthur Pierce b.1774 in Wake County, NC. ,Son of Hardy Pierce b. 1740. then many people say it takes a path to the Pearce's of Pawling NY .
I found a connection to Benjamine Pierce ,1721-decendant of the Percy Line of Northumberland.Who was Married to Jane Haywood and then Nancy Howard. My ggGrandfather William Bailey Pierce b 1820,(son of Arthur), was named after Benjamine's Pierce's son Haywood's wife (Judith Bailey) and son Caleb's wife (Abigail Bailey's) grandfather, (William Bailey).
..Also I found William Arthurs Original marriage License when he married Nancy Thompkins Dated...17 Aug 1817. which was missfield as Arthur Price and Nancy Thompkins, it was clearly Pierce...Most Trees say Hardy was Arthur's Father and he was a son of Benjamine Pierce but I Wonder if Haywood was the father of Arthur?.
