The Family research was conducted by researching some internet databases, and mostly information obtained from senior members.
In accordance with the recollection of Marceline Noel, who is the oldest living member.Thomas Noel her father was the oldest of 11 children Pascal Noel and Alta Fontenotte. He was born in 1897 and died in a single auto accident in 1951 at the age of 54. His union with Ida Borel, born August 10, 1891 netted three children. They are Enola, Marceline, and Gussie. Given the general consensus, Thomas and Ida were both descendants of slaves. The Emanciaption Proclaimation being Jan.1, 1863, it stands to reason that Pascal and Alta and their parents before them were born slaves. The families worked has sharecropper and laborers, in St. Martin Parish of the state of Louisiana. With their faith and hard work, though bow but not broken, they perceived.
