I began this research in 1978 and have searched through dark rooms with dusty files, old books, microfiche, newspapers, and listen to family stories, etc. Having done all this research, I hope that one may find the information an asset and a motivation to continue their own search.
James Bowie, FMC and his wife Chaney, have a story all their own to tell. I am descendent from James Bowie, FMC, one of their sons. There are many web sites out there of James Bowie. But there is only one James Bowie, FMC and his wife Chaney, family tree. This tree has been researched by Steve Bowie, another descendent, myself and many other descendents and is a comprehensive search of all James Bowie's descendents.
