Notes for Bruce Lovay Little: My daddy was a good man. He was a very strong and loving man. He had his own views and beliefs, but that is what made him different from others. I am very much like my daddy in lots of ways. I see myself growing more like him everyday. When I was a little girl, he worked for Massey Grinding in Houston, Texas. He would come in after standing on his feet all day and would put me to sleep rubbing my feet. I knew his feet hurt and this was his way of relaxing. Finally, he quit working at Massey's and went to work for Reynold's Aluminum Company. He would work shift work, 11 - 7, 7 - 3, and 3 - 11. He worked there for years before retiring at the age of 48, I believe. We moved to Jewett in 1980 and I began my freshman year in high school. My daddy kept our yard and pasture looking like a park. It was so beautiful out there. If I had to list one fault of my father's it was his drinking. It was the cause of his demise. On August 2, 1999, he died of liver cancer that had spread to the bone. I was with him when he died. He died at the Hospice House in Houston, Texas. The House was a branch of MD Anderson Hospital. No one knows how bad I hurt for him. He was such a strong person.
