Notes for Edmond Krause: This man I never knew. He died before I was ever born. The stories I heard about him keeping records of when he worked for the railroad always reminded me of how my mother acquired her immaculate record keeping skills. He was German, but was born here in Texas close to what is considered New Braunsfels now. His family was one of the first families that founded Comal County. He is a person that I look up to for his strength and wisdom that he passed on to my grandmother and mother, in which I am happy they share with me.
