Notes for Micajah Allen: Note by Edna Westmoreland:
Micajah Allen lived where Barney Fortner build the cement block home on Allen Street. His old home was a small log home and had been weather boarded with rough lumber running up and down rather than across, and had a sheet iron roof. It stood just behind the Fortner home near a large oak tree. Barney Fortner tore it down when he bought that lot. I have not found Micajah's grave, but I think he may be buried near John Allen in Old Bethel graveyard.
Micajah Allen was living with his son Daniel W. Allen according to the 1850 census of Spartanburg County, South Carolina. Allen. D. 28-WM Farmer SC Allen, Catherine 29-WF SC Allen, Micajah 65-WM Farmer SC Allen, Mary 4-WF SC
