The" Pineault" Family

Updated November 9, 2000

About Our Family Research

My first ancestor was Jean Pineau married with Ann Chiasson
around 1710 in Beaubassin, Acadia.
They moved in the Quebec province in 1711 and established
in the "Montmagny" area. They moved again around 1715 in
the "Rimouski" area, where there are still many "Pineault"
living out there.
Many of their descendants went in the United States around
1900, most of descendants lived in New England where we can
find some named as: Pinault, Pineau, Pineault.

Unfortunately I have found no infomation about the name of
Jean Pineau's parents. It seem that all documents pertaining
to him was destroyed during the Acadian deportation in 1755
in Acadia.

I have nearly 8000 people in my personal genealogy tree and
would be glad to exchange informations with you.

Then if anyone has any information pertaining on the "PINEAULT"
I would be very grateful to you if you could write me at this
address.
