I am striving to find out information regarding my Grandmother, Effie Farrar, born on Indian Land in Oklahoma, between the years of 1890 to 1894. She died young and there is very little I know about her and her family. I do not know her mother's name, except that she was a widow and her married name when she married Mr. Farrar was Hicks. Effie's father was a Cherokee Indian and was in the Texas Rangers. I think his name was Joe or Jack Farrar. She had 1 or 2 brothers that moved to New Mexico some time before 1924. Effie married a man by the last name of Smith.
