The Royal Descent of the Pixley & Blair Families

Updated May 12, 2004

About Our Family Research

I am presently writing the ancestry & story of the Pixley & Blair families. The Blair line connects to the Randolph-Isham family of Virginia. This 'golden connection' takes us back thru John of Gaunt-son of Edward III-King of England. This leads thru the crowned heads of Europe to Charlemagne & numerous Magna Carta Barons. It also connects to numerous founding families including Thomas Jefferson whose mother was a Randolph.
The Pixleys came from England & settled in New England.
Our Blairs came from Scotland & settled in York Co. Pennsylvania.
My grandfather Blair married Ruthelia Friday who was of Pennsylvania Dutch descent. We came to California via Nebraska.
There are several Revolutionary War Patriots & both of my great-grandfathers fought for the north in the Civil War.
The lines I am researching include, Pixley, Paul, Wescot, Haskins, Badger, Kilborn, Richmond, Bartholomew, Bagley, Irish, Blair, Hannah Allison Wallace, Mann, Wormeley, Fleming, Tarlton, Bates, Randolph, Isham, Webb Page, Brown(Dellnow), Walderich, Tirtlot, Catharp/Coltharp, Fishback, Meldau, Turner, Howard, Carver, Friday, Foreman, Hesser, Krick Stoudt(en) Traum, Steinmetz...and many others.
I always enjoy meeting new cousins & finding new information to
fill in the gaps.
I live near Grass Valley between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe.
