As a teacher of genealogy and family history, I have been piecing together my own family history for the past three years. I have the names of most ancestors up to my great great grandparents, but have yet to complete all of their genealogical information, ie. dates and places of births, marriages and deaths for all of them. I like to work up through the levels, completing the information as I go before moving on to the next generation. However, my main focus is primarily on following my family name "PLEAVIN" due to a challenge from my father, who declared that I wouldn't be able to trace them! I am pleased to say that I have already proven him wrong in tracing a level of the family previously unheard of and furthermore, obtaining information of where the family came from before they settled in the parish of Broughton, Wrexham, Denbighshire, my home parish.
I am always happy to hear from people who share the family name and of their research efforts. My research is ongoing, and I am adding information to my pedigree frequently, so check back soon to see who the latest skeleton in my closet is!
