About Our Family Research
I am researching my mother's family and have run into some dead ends. At this time I am looking for information Laura Dale and Isaac Van Jones. They were married in Cass, Missouri on May 18, 1869. I believe they lived for a time in Missouri. During that time, I heard that Laura was postmistress and Isaac was sheriff. After that, I think that they moved to Kansas and Isaac ran a wagon train between Missouri and Kansas. I know they had at least one son named Ralph.
I am also looking for information on Ralph Jones and Iona Bell Henry. He married an Iona Bell Henry in Arkansas. Iona Bell was the daughter of Patrick Henry, who showed up in Arkansas from the north with two children, Iona and a son. He would give no information on his past (where he came from, former wife, etc.) The son died and Iona Bell Henry grew up and married Ralph Jones. They had two children, Ralph Jones and Van Jones. Van Jones is my grandfather. Iona divorced Ralph and married a man with the last name of King. My mother knew her as Mother King. Any information on the above would be much appreciated.
