I started to become interested in geneology after I was baptized into the Mormon church. I am frustrated because our family has very little information on the Plue's and we really don't even know what nationality we are. I have 4 other brothers and sisters,Raymond Jr.,Valerie,Terry,& Edward.My fathers parents passed away when he was very young and he did not know very much about his parents. My grandmother Bertha Clarke Plue died while delivering my dad,and my grandfather Silas brought my dad up but died very young also. My dad had sisters Lois and Ruth of Danbury as well. My dad was a hatter for many years at Mallory hats in Danbury and was a bartender until he died in 1981. My dad had a very fair complection with lots of freckles and had a sense of humor that was unbeliveable. I am happy to say that I have been blessed with the ability to make people laugh and more importantly laugh at myself. My sister Valerie has contacted some of the Plues and was told that the name is a german name??If anyone out there knows where the name comes from or what nationality they believe it is, please Email me at utah55@hotmail.com. I would love to hear more about the name. Does anyone know if the name was shortened? I was recently divorced and went back to my maiden name and at least 1 out of every 10 people I speak to ask me where the name comes from and what nationality I am and I have to say I really don't know!!!!Its a good thing my mom is Lebanese and I look just like her,I just say Im lebanese and Yankee.
