My great grandparents were Angelis Poulopoulos and Angeliki Stavropoulos from Mavria and Karytena Arcadia Greece. My g grandfather came to America in 1901 and worked in the mills of Lowell, MA. There our name was changed from Poulopoulos to Polisson. In 1906 he went to Gloucester, MA and that is where our family still lives today. Angel went back to Greece in 1906 to get Angeliki and their son Peter to bring here to AMerica. Here they had the following children; Paul, Helen, Catherine, Harriette, and my grandfather George. Other family members include: Charles Stavropoulos, Kalliopi Stavropoulos Nikitopoulos, Athanasios Stavropoulos, Dimitra Poulopoulos Bitsikis, James Poulopoulos Polisson, Constantina Poulopoulos Cosmas, Athanasia Poulopoulos Konstandopoulos, Helen Poulopoulos Polisson, Christopher Polisson, James Polisson, Bill Polisson, Nicholas Polisson, Ann Polisson, Mary Polisson Pantazi, Jennie Polisson Carnavos.
