John Joseph Carney perhaps Kearney is our first known descendant. He was born around 1846 in Clarecastle County Clare. His parents on his marriage certificate are listed as William Karney and Mary Geraghty. There are a whole bunch of us here in Australia and we would dearly love to find his County Clare family!
His wife Catherine Fitzgerald has given us a large family of ancestors in Oswestry Shropshire England, and we have connections to these follwing families:
Dobsons of Preston Lancashire England, Plimmers and Thompsons of Oswestry Shropshire England, Kirbys, Marshalls, Cottons, and Whites.
