The purpose of the research is to establish ,firstly,the family links,direct and indirect,dated back in 17th c.or earlier,and secondly the origin of the surname.Politis means "ofthe city",i.e. citizen in English,citoyen in French,or those who used to live in Constantinople or Polis.Up to now five generations have been established with a lot of missing information.
