I started to do my family history after the death of my parents in hindsite i should have started before there death to get as mutch personal information as possable.My wife is in the same possition we go to the family regestration office"s in Edinburgh as mutch as possable to go over as mutch records as possable but without any of the elder people to ask questions it can take a lot of time to read through the records and find a date to follow up on but we enjoy doing it and try to make sense of it all.A lot of family"s have very similar things and names that go through the generations that make it very interesting.
