Hello! My name is Martha A. Poling. I was born in Jay County, Indiana on January 1, 1951. I have a twin sister, Marcia. I am the daughter of Eston and Emma (Englebert) Poling. My father was a minister in Jay County, Indiana. When I was five, he took over the pastorate at the First Pentecostal Church in Bluffton, Indiana. Dad pastored the church in Bluffton until his retirement in 1990 due to health.
I have two brothers, Eston Ernest Poling, Jr. and James Leonard Poling of Bluffton, Indiana. I have two other sisters in addition to my twin sister, Marcia. They are Rita Marlene (Poling) Chandler and Irene Louise Poling. We all live in Bluffton with the exception of Eston, Jr. He lives in Greensburg, Indiana. Both of my brothers are ordained ministers of the United Pentecostal Church, Int'l. Eston, Jr. pastors in Greensburg, Indiana and James pastors the church here in Bluffton.
Our father came to Indiana from West Virginia. He was born and raised in Montrose which is a few miles from Elkins. He and my mother were married 60 1/2 years. My father passed away May 3, 1997 and my mother June 2, 1999.
Eston Ernest Poling, Jr: Married Loretta Clark. Has 3 sons, Darrell, Kevin, Brian - one daughter, Cheryl Denise. He has 6 granddaughters and two grandsons.
James Leonard Poling - Married Deloris Smith. Has two sons, James Russell and Gregory Alan - one daughter, Kimberly Sue. He has 3 grandsons and 3 granddaughters.
Rita Marlene (Poling) Chandler - Married William Chandler. Has two sons, Nathan Alan and Alan Scot - one daughter, Vickie Marlene. She has 3 granddaughters and 1 grandson.
Irene Louise Poling - Unmarried
Marcia Joan (Poling) Pate - Married Elmer Pate. Has one daughter, Annette. She has one granddaughter.

I have been working on family history. All of my father's brothers and sisters are deceased. Their names are Orris, Oscar, Rita, Ethel, Vera, Eldon Prince.
