My ancesters Thomas Pollock born: June 20th 1805 in Glasgow Scotland died May 31st 1879 in Putman Co. Missouri. Married Isabella Wilson on June 21st 1833 in Greenock Scotland. They were married by S. Sinclair.
At the time of their marraige Thomas was a steward on a ship.He did this for 6 years.
Thomas later was appointed to the courts (Judge) in Putman Co Missouri.

WILLIAM POLLOCK married SARAH E SIMMONS
married on April 15 1886 in Putman Co Missouri
Sarah was born on Feburary 3 1826 in Hancock Co. ILL
They owned over 900 acres where the farmed and raised livestock. William was a greenbacker in Politics, he ws a strong advocate of temperence course, served in the State Militia and the civil war.

There is alot more that I have on my family. I do know that from what I have been told or have found while searching my family genealogy that this is a strong Scotish family.
I also know that Thomas and his son David Wilson Pollock were in the camp at Chewalla, Tenn. This information comes from a letter written from Thomas to Isabella on June 9th 1863.
