I was born Patricia Ann Drill, July 15, 1944, in Manitowoc, WI and was adopted in 1945 through Children's Service Society in Milwaukee. I believe I was in an orphanage of some kind - however, I did find out that I was in a foster home in Wausau before my first birthday, but only for 3 months. I was adopted in 1945 and renamed Cheryl Ann Gronowski and lived in Oshkosh, WI ever since. I married Charles Thomas Pommerening,born October 24, 1942, who is also adopted and was born Jeffri John Hinz.
We can use all the help we can get in trying to do all these family trees. We have been married since 1964 and have 2 children: Jeffri John - age 31 and Gretchen Marie - age 25. Neither one is married as of this writing.
My husband, Chuck, has done some searching for his birth family and only knows his mom's name : Marjorie Hinz - he does not know if he has siblings or not as she was not helpful at all when he spoke with her. She resides in Milwaukee, WI . He was born in Wauwatosa, WI and was adopted from a Lutheran Home.
Cheri Pommerening found her birth mother: Helen Jean McClellan Drill and her 2 sisters: Judith Lee Drill and Barbara Jean Drill - neither one of whom is married - they both reside in Punta Gorda, FL. My birth mother, Jean Drill, passed away this past August. I am also looking for 2 other sisters - one older and one younger. I also have a half-sister named Debbie and a half-brother named Dennis, both reside in Manitowoc, WI. My father was either Alois Drill of Manitowoc, WI or Richard Best - I have no idea where he was from.
