This page is dedicated to research of ancestors of our children. Primarily the family names Pooler, Mansuy, Highton, Achterburg, Wyatt, Elias and Henry. I have only just recently started but others have done a lot of work before me. What I am tring to do is put it down in some organized manner. Through messages on Pooler gen forum I have contacted distant cousins in Ontario and England and have traced my Pooler line from homesteading in Saskatchewan, back through Canadian settlement on the Great Lakes and back over to Shropshire England where they were farming folk in the 1700's. In the process I have also learned something of the trials that set them out on their journey and I have learned of distant relatives that I did not know existed. A distant cousin has done a lot of work researching "The Wyatts of North Crosby, Ontario" my paternal grandmothers side. On my maternal grandmothers side the Elis's have been traced back through the Mennonite trek from Germany to Russia and to Canada then Mexico and back to Saskatchewan again. On my wife's side there are family history's done on her maternal side of Achterburgs and Pous and some on her fathers side which is Mansuy. My children would like to think that their gggrandfather Stephen Henry of France is traceable to King(Stephen)Henry I of Engand who came from France. Although it could be possible there are many centuries to fill. Any info that I may be able to help with will be happily given and info you may have gratefully received. Happy ancestor hunting
