To date, I have traced my family name back to my 3-Greats Grandfather Joseph R. Poole Born possibly sometime around 1790
in Frederick, Maryland. He married Elizabeth Guiler in 1815,she was born in Virginia in 1794. They settled in Harlan Lake in Union County,Kentucky where he died in 1847. His grave marker,in poor condition is in a cow pasture on a farm in Kentucky. I am trying to find information on his parents, I read he was of English descent. Joseph and Elizabeth had eight or nine children; Reason,Elizabeth J.,Warner,Joseph R.G.,Pinkney,Ferdinand,Henry John,David,and Mary E. Anyone that may have any information regarding Joseph's father (possibly a Joseph SR. or Henry),or the parents of Elizabeth Guiler would be greatly appreciated. Also, does anyone know when "Old Christmas Day " was ? |
