I started collecting family information in 1979 prior to my second son's birth. I am glad I did because most of the family was alive and I was able to capture many stories about our families. Many that were a bit fabricated, but none the less interesting. I had let much of the information collect without much organization and found several other family collectors that have been more ambishious than I. I am very interested in getting active with my research now that my children are more on thier own now and I have time to myself and some research. I espeically am interested in my fathers side of the family "Dale Pooler Jr. and Sr." since they do not seem to have left much of a trail and weren't very prolific. However, the maternal side of my has proven to be great leaders and warriors through the civil war and revolutionary war and settling villages out east. I have found books and traces of them all over. It made it easy to start. Now I am digging into the difficult ones.
