Through my research I have found a relative in Berlin, Germany, Not my ancestral home) who is researching the same informatin as myself, His name is William Wires. For 3 years a reunion was held in grand rapids, Michigan of ancestors of Alice Amelia Porter, which is a parallel branch to my own as well as is William wires ancestral archive. We are stymied in attempts to bridge the 1800's. Our great great grandfather resided in Crown Point New York(William Porter, b 25 Aug 1874) but we have been unable to find his parents for sure or anyone befoe him. His parents may have been John and Eunice Porter but we are unable to identife a direst link except the birth dates place them in the proper age group and tjey were in Crown Point.
