The Porterfields have a family reunion every year. Every other year we have it in knoxville, when we have it here we always play bingo, everyone that wants to play usually brings two or more gifts for the prizes. We also have a drawing for money, they sell chances 3 for a dollar at the end of the reunion the draw a winning ticket, The name that is drawn wins half the money, the other half goes toward the reunion for next year.
Also people donate different prizes( such as things people have made themselfes) they sell chances for those prizes you put the ticket you bought in a jar for the item you would like to win. The money goes toward the reunion for next year, a ticket is drawn for each item fo a winner.
They also play horeshoes they play till they get a winner, you have to be pretty god (if you want to win). They have a lot of fun
Every other year they have it elsewhere such as michigan, georgia, indiana. The home town of the other family members besides the porterfields.
