My research has taken nearly 30 years of my spare time, but it has been enjoyable. Thirteen of my ancestors settled in Shunk, Fox Twp., Sullivan Co., PA, two being Latney Day Porter (my paternal 3rd great-grandfather) and his sister, Amy (Porter) Shaddick (my maternal 3rd great-grandmother). Between the two they had 34 children, leaving thousands of descendants, many of which I have recorded. Some family members have little else besides birth, death, marriage and/or burial, but when residences, employment, education and/or military service has been found, I included this info as well. Some families have been researched further. Among the surnames included are: BROWN, WILCOX, MORGAN, WILLIAMS, WRIGHT, DICKERSON, PARRISH, KILMER, FOSTER, FOULKROD, SNELL, McKAY, SARGEANT/SARGENT, LEONARD, BAUMUNK, BRENCHLEY, CAMPBELL and FREY, just to name the earlier marriages.
