I've been researching my ancestry for the past 25 years. Among those surnames recorded are: PORTER, RUMSEY, SHADDUCK/SHATTUCK, WRIGHT, BROWN, WILCOX, SARGEANT, LUCE, GRAY, HALL, DOUD, PHELPS, LOOMIS, BARTLETT, WOODWARD, BULKLEY, WHITNEY, AUSTIN, ST. JOHN, FROST, PINNEO/PINNEAU, HOWLAND, GIFFARD/GIFFORD, HILLS and WARREN. The first 4 listed surnames are the central focus of my genealogy. My ancestors were original New Englanders, founding or being an early settler of numerous farming areas of Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont and Pennsylvania. Locations include Fairfield, CN; Watertown, MA; Rutland County in VT, Schoharie and Duchess Counties in NY; Sullivan Township in Tioga Co., PA; Fox and Elkland Townships in Sullivan Co., PA; and Springfield Township in Bradford Co., PA. I am currently compiling my data into bookform using my computer. Included with my research are Civil War records, information about the Village of Shunk, PA where 9 of my ancestors settled, 6 cemetery logs with indexes, and photographs of numerous family members, gravesites, homesteads and such.
