I am researching my fathers family history. The PORTIS family in my line starts with William Jefferson Portis born in Georgia November 12, 1814. He and his wife Rachel BLEVINS Portis settled in Fairfax, Atchinson County, Missouri in 1840. I would like the find William Jefferson Portis' father and mother and where they came from.
