I have been researching my family history for about 20 years but as far as the Potter family is concerned I have come to a grinding halt with my grandfather. I know that in 1900 he was living in Tisbury, Wiltshire, UK at the time of my father's baptism. My father was Redvers Edgar Philip Potter born in September 1900 and died in 1981.
I have been unable to find any trace of my grandfather's birth, baptism or marriage. I believe that Daniel Philip Potter my grandfather came from Winsley, Wiltshire UK but I am unable to establish any connection.
Family history on my mother's side has been very successful but I have found precious few ancestors on my father's side.
