Notes for Thomas Gabrial (Joseph) Prime: Thomas Prime was first mayor of Bergenfield, NJ. He was known as T.J. Prime (he had changed his middle name from Gabrial to Thomas) and he served from 1918-1922. He also started the first fire dept. and police dept. He owned his own insurance and realistate co.. He invented a blood sucking pump. Another man stole the invention from him and pattoned it and called it " The Prime Blood Pump". Thomas Prime could not prove this man stole it even though he use the name Prime on it. Prime means "First".
Cris Farley (great grandson) remembers being in a parade with our Great Grandfather, TJ Prime, in Bergenfield, NJ. It was in his honor and Cris thinks it was 1959.
Cris remembers fishing with our Great Grandfather (Pop Pop) many times on the Jersey shore. He fished right up until he was hospitalized. He was instrumental in making the Striped Bass a "game fish" years ago. chris has a few of his fishing trophies.
Died at age 84 years 2mths 11 days at Holy Name Hospital, Teaneck, NJ at 6:30 pm
