Welcome to my Genealogy home page. As you will see this page is about the Powell family, & their relatives & ancestors that lived in & around the Camborne area, in Cornwall. The Powells, my paternal grandfathers line originally came from Monmouthshire in Wales. My paternal grandmothers line, The Daveys are to my knowledge a Camborne family as far back as we are able to see at the moment. The Smales (Maternal grandfather) moved from Devon with my great grandfather. Sadly little is known of this branch. Finally The Waters, my materal grandmothers line are also a Cornish Family.
The extended family can be found all over the world, from America to Australia. Much of the family still in the UK are also scattered, from Cornwall & Wales to London, Sussex & Nottingham.
This Website is still very basic & will be inproved as time goes by. I have done very little research myself & much of the infomation has come from other members of the family, including Mark Powell & Nick Burt. If anyone else has more infomation I would be happy to recieve it.
