this branch settled in Barren and surrounding counties of Ky. and some later moved into TN, MO, IA, IL, IN, Neb., Ark, TX.

192o our grandfather Marvin D. Poynter moved
his wife Lecta Mae Deckard
(d/o Cicero Deckard and Ocia Boyd) and family
to Indianapolis, IN.
196o our late father Robert D. Poynter moved to Shelby co. Fairland, IN. He and our mother Annabelle Matlock had twelve (12) children.
-Memory & Thoughts:
three of these children have passed on, Teresa, Robert Lee (Bobby) and Michael Poynter.
-in 1993 the Poynter Genealogy Network/PGN formed and today has over 1oo researchers of Poynter descendants from all over the world.
