My name is Jim Proctor and I am currently residing in Rhode Island. Since my retirement from a teaching career in 1997, I have been doing some family research and I have reached a point where I can publish this information. I believe that I can justify the information about my Proctor ancestors from the present (my son Timothy James Proctor who lives in Burlington, Vt.) to Evan Proctor who was born c. 1546 in St. Albans, Herts, England. I have relied heavily on "A Genealogy of the Descendants of Robert Proctor 1898" to compile this data and family records. I have also visited local town offices to verify and in some cases correct information that has been incorrectly published.
I will continue to update this information as the need arises. I am also open to any suggestions, corrections and additional family information. In particular, I welcome specific information regarding the unique life of anyone mentioned.
